Nestle launch first new Quality Street range in 85 years – and it looks so good

It's an unwritten rule that every year, we stock up on tins of Quality Streets at Christmas – which will then be filled with stray biscuits or your grandmothers knitting supplies come January.

But now Nestle have announced their first new Quality Street product in almost 85 years – which you're sure to want to enjoy all year round, not just in December.

The Intrigue Truffles come in three delicious flavours – salted caramel, orange and praline – with the range taking inspiration from the original Quality Street chocolates that we know and love.

Salted caramel is predicted to be a firm favourite with customers, thanks to its silky-smooth chocolatey centre, crunchy salted caramel chunks and milk chocolate coating.

Apparently, it's "the perfect spin on the iconic Mackintosh caramel toffee."

The orange truffle is inspired by the iconic Orange Cream from the Quality Street tin – "bursting full of a tantalising citrus flavour" and "sprinkled with dried orange segments".

And the praline combines flavours from both The Green Triangle and The Purple One. It's described as a "smooth praline truffle centre encased in a milk chocolate shell and sprinkled with caramelised hazelnut pieces."

Rebecca Holt, Brand Manager for Quality Street said: "Quality Street is a much-loved UK brand; and we know many fans would love to enjoy more of it all year round. That’s why we’ve created a product that will enable consumers to experience Quality Street in a brand-new way.

"Perfect as a gift whatever the occasion, we think this new product is very special indeed."

If you can't wait to get your hands on these, you can pick up a pack in Asda now, and in Morrisons from March 2, and finally Tesco stores from April.

Each 200g box contains 20 individually wrapped sweets and retails for £5.
