Anthony Mangall raised questions about Prime Minister Rishi Sunak backing British Farming Day and took the opportunity to take aim at the former Secretary of State for Health Matt Hancock. Mr Hancock announced that he will be joining the cast of this year’s edition of reality TV show I’m a Celebrity Gety Me Out of Here. And bookmakers have already been predicting that he will be nominated to do a majority of the bush tuck trials by the British public.
Mr Mangnall addressed the Commons and said: “Speaker, on the back of British Farming Day, will the Prime Minister recognise with all members of the House the important role that farmers take?
“And recognise that public money for public good means producing food in this country.
“But could he also recognise the value that our trade deals are doing in allowing us to export our hard high quality produce around the world?
“In particular the Australia agreement where a member of this House will be able to enjoy a certain delicate cut in his bush tucker trials.”
