A man was lucky to have escaped serious injuries after falling nine storeys from a building before landing on a parked car in the US.
The man, who is reportedly age 31, plunged from a building in Jersey City, New Jersey, as witnesses described the scene as being like from a movie.
The parked BMW he landed on had its roof flattened from the impact and most of its windows had smashed.
Remarkably the man was able to talk and get himself from the vehicle following the horrific fall.
Speaking to the New York Post, witness Christina Smith said “I heard a big boom and I didn’t think it was a person at first.
“The back window of the car just busted out — exploded. Then the guy jumped up and started screaming. His arm was all twisted.”
“I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I was shocked. It was like being in a movie”
The man began asking “What happened?” and Christina replied “you fell”.
She quickly called 911 to alert emergency services to treat the man.

He was reportedly screaming in pain from his injuries but was able to move onto the pavement.
However, reports say the man was later rushed to the hospital by ambulance and was in a critical condition.
The man had jumped out of an open window of the building, which he did not work at.
According to reports, he refused to give his name and would not corporate with the police.

The New York Post spoke to another person, who worked at the building, regarding the aftermath,
Mark Bordeaux said the man waited at the scene for police and ambulances to arrive.
He was reported to have said: ‘leave me alone, I want to die’.
Many witnesses reported the visible damage to his arm, which they describe as “clearly broken”.
