Cinema fan recreates perfect movie moment using Tofu and spatula

Throughout lockdown we’ve all had things we’ve missed doing.

From hugging our parents and going to the shops to having a pint down the pub with friends or simply doing what we want, when we want.

One cinema fan seems to have missed going to the movies a little too much.

Although for many of us it seems a long time ago, we all remember sitting through the boring adverts waiting for the drum roll and symphony of trumpets for the 20th Century Fox fanfare which would signal the start of our film.

Creative Alex Becker has brilliantly managed to recreate this moment – while frying some Tofu with a spatula.

He filmed his brilliance and stuck it on TikTok at the start of lockdown and it has now 3.4million likes and 34K comments.

People have described it as a "work of art" and called Alex a "genius" for coming up with the idea while one said it was quarantine "getting the best of us".

One person wrote: "I can't breath this is so GOODDDD."

Another said: "Everyone heard it in the first second."

But after the initial amazement people started questioning how it was done.

One person asked: "How are there different notes?"

Here's how the real fanfare sounds.

To which someone replied: "They aren't different. Since our brain knows the pattern of the 21st century fox intro, it deceives us into thinking there's musical notes."

Someone replied: "That's trippy."

Another person explained: "Your brain is changing the pitches. If someone not accustomed to this sound listened to it, they'd have no idea what it sounds like, just sizzles."

While another joked: "In 100 years someone is going to find this video and have no idea what's going on."

Lots of other people have now taken Alex's sound and used it on their TikTok videos they've made.

People have pretended to recreate the sound while straightening their hair, frying an egg or cooking a steak on the BBQ.
