A cool weekend in the metro area will give way to a cold week as below normal temperatures set up for a spell.
“Below normal temperatures will likely continue this weekend through late next week,” according to the National Weather Service forecast.
In Denver, the high temperature will top out near 51 degrees on Saturday under mostly sunny skies, according to the weather service. The normal high temperature in Denver on Nov. 12 is 54 degrees. The overnight low temperature in the city will be about 25 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Sunday’s Denver weather forecast calls for a high temperature near 50 degrees under partly sunny skies and winds gusting to about 15 mph. On Sunday night there’s a 20% chance of snow before midnight, skies will be mostly cloudy and the low will dip to about 20 degrees.
A series of light snow showers will occur Sunday night into Monday morning along the Palmer Divide and in the mountains at elevations above 8,500-feet, according to the forecast. Another round of mountain snow showers is possible Monday night into Tuesday afternoon with light accumulation expected.
Cold weather will slap Denver on Monday, skies will be mostly sunny and the high temperature will top out around 36 degrees, the weather service said. Overnight skies in the city on Monday will be cloudy and the low will be near 20 degrees.
Tuesday’s weather in Denver will be similar to Monday’s, with snow showers possible on Tuesday evening along the Interstate 25 corridor.
