Ex gangland icon Dave Courtney says bareknuckle boxing is like “watching a sex show” and admits he gets turned on watching men wallop each other.
The self-styled celebrity mobster, 61, did not hold back on describing why he loves watching rivals in the ring.
He said: “It’s beautiful to watch.
“It’s almost sexual.
“It’s like watching a sex show.
“There’s something sexual about watching a man batter another man. It’s beautiful. It’s sexy.”
Bareknuckle boss Joe Smith-Brown told how his pal admits to getting fired up watching bouts.
He said: "Dave comes to every show and I ask him during the fights 'Have you got a hard on yet Dave?'
“He always says: 'Yes, son' or 'Getting there.'
“He loves it.”
Hard-as-nails Dave, who used to hang around with The Krays, is not the only tough guy to get excited by violence.
Ex-heavyweight champ Mike Tyson also loves watching a high-tempo battle ring battle.
The sports legend told US podcast host Joe Rogan that fighting gets him off.
He said: “It’s orgasmic sometimes.”
“What does it mean when fighting gets you erect?
“Well that’s how I’d get when I was a kid. Sometimes I’d get the twinkle.”
Dave, who has penned several books about his career in the criminal underworld, says modern bareknuckle boxers would be too much for legends Lenny McLean and Roy Shaw.
EastEnder McLean, who died in 1998, was known as "The Guv'nor", "the King of the Cobbles" and "the hardest man in Britain".
But Dave says fighters on the circuit have upped their game since his reign from the 1960s to the 1980s.
He said: “Respect to Lenny and Roy but they wouldn’t last one minute with the guys these days. “It’s a different style of fighting. They are different level now.”
Dave suffered a heart attack in 2017 but vowed “it'll take more than that to kill me”.
The prankster shared a video in his Facebook page of himself appearing to sleep in his hospital bed before leaping from under the covers dressed in a T-shirt and giant gold chain.
