The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have broken their silence following rumours that they will appear in a ‘fly-on-the wall’ Netflix documentary.

A spokesman for Prince Harry reportedly quashed reports that the royal couple will take part in a reality TV series.

The pair recently penned a huge deal to produce content for the US streaming giants.

But the couple have now played down reports that a reality TV documentary will be featured as part of the multi-million-pound contract.

A spokesman for Prince Harry told Hello! Magazine: "The Duke and Duchess are not taking part in any reality shows."

And a Netflix spokesman added: “The couple already has several projects in development, including an innovative nature docu-series and an animated series that celebrates inspiring women but we are not disclosing any of the programming slate at this time."

The Sussexes signed a £150million deal with the streaming service aiming to provide “hope and inspiration” with their new projects.

Harry, 35, and former Suits star Meghan, 39, will be using a currently unnamed production company to produce a series of documentaries, films and children’s programmes.

The couple have vowed to make “impactful content that unlocks action” wit their new production company, expected to involve work on mental health.

It comes after Netflix boss Reed Hasting’s said the Sussexes had been "smart" and "shopped themselves around" before committing to the streaming service.

He said the Sussexes offered themselves to all "major companies" before shaking hands with the US giants on a deal that will see their content streamed to millions.

Announcing the deal, the two said that their lives "have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection".

Harry and Meghan sensationally quit the royal family earlier this year in a drama that was dubbed Megxit.

The historic agreement meant the couple had to drop their HRH titles, pay back the £2.4million for Frogmore and no longer receive public funds.

In exchange, they were allowed to quit frontline duties and given licence to expand their brand.

They have since relocated to the US where they splashed out on a new mansion where they will raise baby Archie.
