A royal expert has claimed that the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William will not heal as any "serious" talks between the brothers will have to "go through Meghan first".
The Duke of Sussex recently travelled to the UK for the first time since the funeral of his grandfather Prince Phillip, to be present at the unveiling of a statue of his mother Princess Diana.
The two brothers putting on a cordial display and were pictured chatting and smiling during the reunion.
However, Daily Mail diary editor Richard Eden thinks it is unlikely they had any deep conversations.
He said: "Whatever discussions they’ve had between Harry and William whether it’s about the football or whatever while Harry’s here, they won’t have been very serious.
"I mean William knows [that] without Meghan being there, there’s no point in discussing anything serious, because it will have to go through her anyway.”
Fellow royal author Robert Lacey echoed the sentiments, describing the two princes as "good performers" during the poignant event, even adding that some friends had felt a sense of ‘sadness’ and ‘despair’.

Within 24 hours, Prince Harry was seen at Heathrow Airport flying back to his LA home to his wife Meghan Markle and children Archie and Lilibet.
A source told the Mirror: “Despite William and Harry coming together this week for the sole cause of commemorating their mother’s legacy, Harry is very much on the outside.
“They put on a show, did what they had to do to make sure the day went without a hitch and said goodbye.
