Lyon station evacuated: People flee France’s Gare de la Part-Dieu as police arrive

The Part-Dieu station was evacuated this afternoon, with police currently in attendance. BFM Lyon news reported there was a bomb threat. French politican Damien Abad said he was planning to visit his father on the train but was unable to due to the evacuation.

He tweeted: “URGENT: bomb threat at Part-Dieu De Lyon station.

“I was going to take my train to see my father in Ehpad near Nîmes and there was a big crowd movement inside the station.

“Immediate evacuation of the station. Sector blocked.”

Another person tweeted: “Big crowd movement at the Gare de Lyon Part-Dieu. Screams and people running away. This is a bomb threat.”
