Meghan Markle and Prince Harry blasted for £1,000-a-ticket price of latest event

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been blasted by royal experts for their latest event, which has tickets set at an eye-watering £1,000 each.

One expert slammed the hefty price tag attached to tickets for the events, which relate to attendance of the One Young World Summit and WellChild Awards.

The events were not subject to criticism, but the royal couple appearing at them, and the chunk of cash needed to attend the charitable causes.

Royal expert Angela Levin blasted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying the tickets are "only for the rich".

Expert Levin labelled the high prices as "atrocious".

She added: "They have to pay a thousand pounds a day to get into that. [There are] three days. It's three thousand pounds, it doesn't include their travel, their flight."

A raging Levin added that the event was "not equal" and would be attended only by "rich young people who can come to it".

Another commentator, Mike Graham, agreed with Levin, saying that the price of the tickets was horrifying in the face of the cost of living crisis.

Commentator Graham said that people "don't need some cosseted multi-millionaire coming into Britain on a private jet to teach us all, about how much more kind we should be."

Agreeing with Graham, Levin added: "Absolutely, they always say, you know, compassionate for those you know and those you don't."

The costly tickets are for attendance at two events the Sussexes will pay visit to during their tour of the UK, with the pair announcing they would visit charities "close to their hearts".

The One World summit in Manchester will host the Sussexes on September 5, while the WellChild Awards in London are set for September 8, Daily Express reported.

A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry have been contacted for comment.
