The mother of a five-year-old allegedly murdered after she took money from a man who wanted to sleep with her daughter has been labelled as a "monster" by the girl's father.
Kelly Siple, 35, was arrested for murder and human trafficking over the death of daughter Kamarie Holand.
It happened in Columbus, Georiga, just a few weeks after she had denied involvement.
She also called her daughter "my life" during an interview with local media.
However, prosecutors allege that Jeremy Williams, 37, paid to have sex with his partner's daughter.
He then raped and strangled her, local news has reported.
Sadly, she was found dead later that day in an empty home where the man had once lived.
Chillingly, the mum had donated her daughter's toys to an annual toy drive run by a local news channel.
She said: "She was a very helping child.
"I’m a mommy – I did not have nothing to do with this [sic].
"She was my life. I lived for her. She was my only girl. I have three boys and her."
The girl's father Corey Holland said after his ex was arrested: "She’s a monster.
"A real mother protects and would die for her children.
"My family and I will continue to wrestle with the loss of losing our angel Kamarie.
"We will ask that you continue to make your news about her and the justice she deserves."
Columbus’ Assistant Police Chief Joyce Dent-Fitzpatrick said: "The only thing I have to say is, please monitor where your kids are and who they are around.
"We care about our kids, we care about our community."
The mother has been charged on three accounts overall – murder during the course of kidnapping, murder during the course of rape, and murder during the course of sodomy.
And Williams is also expected to be charged with the production of child pornography as well as the murder of a person less than 14 years old.
