A brawl at Pontins sparked a huge police response in Southport which resulted in a group being kicked out of the family holiday park.
A group of holidaymakers are said to have "had to be removed" from the camp on Shore Road in Ainsdale at the weekend.
One witness told the Liverpool Echo: "I think the sun went to some people's heads this weekend.
"A lot of people's holidays were very nearly ruined by the disgusting behaviour of a few.
"They were swearing their heads off and I heard someone threaten to throw someone else off a balcony.
"Seven police cars turned up. They had to be removed from their chalet."
A video seen by the local newspaper shows a number of adults arguing, shouting, and pushing and shoving one another.
Merseyside Police confirmed it was contacted at 9.55pm on Sunday following reports of a disturbance.
A police spokeswoman said: "There were reports that a 19-year-old woman had been assaulted but at this stage, no formal complaint has been made.
"A number of people left the site."
One guest has praised Pontins staff for how they handled the situation.
The woman, who wants to remain anonymous, said: "I genuinely don’t think the security team could have done much differently, the situation escalated so the police were called.

"They arrived promptly, the situation didn’t diffuse so the relevant parties were escorted from the site.
"I’d also certainly praise one of the security team members, Digger, who went out of his way to ensure and check all the other residents, especially children, of the block were okay."
