Woman who thought she just needed the loo gives birth in petrol station toilet

A woman who thought she needed to use the loo gave birth just minutes later in a petrol station toilet while her husband waited in the car.

Kaitlyn Fullerton Mancera was on a drive with her husband Sergio when she felt the urge to go to the loo and asked him to pull over at a rest spot.

Kaitlyn — who knew she was pregnant with the couple's second child— didn't think anything was out of the ordinary, but just minutes later she began to experience contractions.

Within 10 minutes, Kaitlyn had safely delivered her son by herself while Sergio waited in the car.

In a YouTube video, Kaitlyn explained that she thought she "just needed to poop".

Speaking to ABC, she said: "We got further along the road and I felt like I needed to start pushing, well I thought I needed to go to the bathroom.

"I kept on feeling like a water pressure… because whenever I stood up, my water broke."

After the little boy's arrival, Kaitlyn asked a woman who came into the restroom to tell Sergio she had given birth — and he recorded the incredible moment he met his wife and their newborn, who they named Callihan.

Sergio said: I was on my phone and 10 minutes later a woman showed up and said, 'Hey, your wife just gave birth,' and I was like, 'What! Really?'"

"I couldn't believe it."

The couple, who live in Victoria, Texas, shared their incredible story on TikTok and the video has amassed almost 20 million views.

On the video, Kaitlyn wrote: "I was so proud of myself in this moment. I was like omg I can't believe I did that."

People from across the world have left comments praising Kaitlyn.

Rose Christiansen said: "I love that she's standing there so strong… That's a real woman."

Allizon Roze added: "I love how you are just standing there giggling in mommy bliss! Such a cool birth story."

Another user said: "When your baby understands the assignment and saves you $20k on day 1."

Shortly after delivering her own baby, paramedics arrived and transported both mum and child to Sugar Land hospital. Both were happy and healthy.
